Synopsis

In the Monument Realm, cultivation is not discovered, it is inherited. Every family, clan, and sect maintains a Monument Hall: a sacred space where the spirits of powerful ancestors reside as carved stone statues. When a child turns sixteen, they undergo the Inheritance Ceremony. The ancestors "wake" and bestow upon their descendant a cultivation technique, a martial art, or a fragment of their power.

The stronger your ancestors, the stronger your foundation.

But what if you have no ancestors?

Luo Chen is born into the prestigious Luo Clan, main branch, direct line, a pedigree that should guarantee him at least a dozen ancestral responses. On his Inheritance Day, zero statues wake. Not one. In the entire Monument Hall, from the founder down to the most distant collateral ancestor, every statue remains stone-silent.

This has never happened before in recorded history.

He is declared The Uninherited, cursed, blank, a dead end in the bloodline. His engagement is broken. His branch family is exiled. His father is stripped of his elder position.

What nobody realizes: Luo Chen's ancestors aren't absent. They were erased. And the blankness within him isn't emptiness, it's potential without limit.

Because in a world where every cultivator walks the path their ancestors walked, only someone with no path can walk all paths.
